Monday Cuppa Moment 6/27

Happy Monday, friends!

Hope you're off to a blessed week with a strong cup of Joe and some dark chocolate. Perhaps you aren't a coffee/chocolate fan. What is your dream pair of drink and food item?

It's been busy even though it was my week "off." We attended a great O's game, a fun Ironbirds game, enjoyed lunch with a dear friend, and ran a ton of errands.

Now? It's back to the grindstone (minus a week at the beach wedged in there :) as I begin the next story in the Chesapeake Valor series--Book 3. I'm happy to say STILL LIFE is with my publisher for the editing process (of which I am SO thankful). My editor does an AMAZING job!

What's Book 3 about?

You'll have to wait until you read STILL LIFE  (releasing January 2017, but available for pre-order now) to find out, or at least get a hint. Sorry. That was quite the tease. But I do hope you're excited to read STILL LIFE. It's currently number one on Goodread's Most Anticipated Christian Fiction of 2017 list, so a BIG thank you to everyone who has voted and those who will vote in the future. You guys are the best! Seriously, the best. Here's a summary to wet your appetite:

Blacklisted in the photography business when one of her shots causes a scandal, but desperate to somehow continue in the profession, Avery Tate answered an ad for a crime scene photographer. She fully expected to be laughed at, but crime scene analyst Parker Mitchell hired her outright--taking time to teach her the trade. Now she's half in love with the man, half terrified to even acknowledge her feelings, and completely hooked on the job--until the next crime hits too close to home.

Avery attends the gallery opening of a new photography exhibit to support her best friend who modeled for the show. The only image of her, though, is a chilling photo of her posing dead. Only the photographer insists he didn't take the shot, and Avery's friend can't be found. As Avery and Parker, along with Parker's brilliant friends, begin to dig into the mystery, they find themselves face-to-face with a dangerous, relentless, and deadly threat which could endanger them all.

How are you spending your summer? Any fun get-away plans?

Blessings,
