Monday Cuppa--It's Spring

Happy Monday, friends!

Happy first day of Spring!!

I'm such a warm-weather girl, I still can't figure out how I ended up on the east coast, though I dearly love it here. I really believe I was meant to live in Hawaii. Warm temperatures, crystal blue water, white, sandy beaches.... Speaking of beaches, I'm away this week at the beach, finishing up the first draft of book four in my Chesapeake Valor series. Prayers appreciated for God to let the words flow.

How about you? What's your favorite Italian Ice or Snowball flavor?

Blessings from the beach,

Monday Cuppa--Inside a Writer's Chaos a.k.a Office

Hope you're having a strong coffee morning.

I always find it so fascinating how vastly different various authors' workspaces can be. I suppose they are unique, just as our stories are. Today, I thought I'd share a glimpse into my writing domain. I'll admit it, I cleaned up a bit for the photos :)

My office is the sunroom off my kitchen. I love that so much light floods in.

A picture of me and Little Man on an adorable typewriter holder from a dear friend.

(I think it's super important to keep reminders of what gifts God has given to fill your life with joy. You'll see several below.)

A sign from my daughter that means the world to me <3

Gifts from my daughters and cards from dear friends.

(Yes. We are BIG Guardian of the Galaxy&Star Wars fans. We have a saying in our house, 'It's all wookie'.)

A letter from my all-time favorite mystery writer--Sue Grafton.

What about you? What does your office space look like? What motivational items do you keep around to keep you inspired? Feel free to comment below or, even better, share a pic!

Have a blessed Monday,

Monday Cuppa Moment 5/19

Here's a fun recipe to keep your grown up disguise in place :)

Can't wait to try this one out!

I spent the past few days in Dallas at the Romantic Times convention meeting awesome readers, sharing time with author friends, and enjoying the local scenery.

Play Pictionary during Saddle Up and Draw at RT. We had a lovely group of ladies. Becky Wade had some mad drawing skills.

With friends Becky Wade and Lisa Wingate. IMG_5290 IMG_5293

With an awesome supporter of Christian fiction! IMG_5297

IMG_5300 IMG_5306Visited the Dallas Arboretum. Talk about breathtaking....

One of the goodies I brought home from RT is this lovely tote bag.

I'm going to randomly draw a name from the comments below and you'll win this tote filled with books from authors at RT including Sabotaged (by me), A Love Like Ours by Becky Wade, The Story Keeper by Lisa Wingate, A Lasting Impression by Tamera Alexander and Barefoot Summer by Denise Hunter.

Monday Cuppa Moment 1/26

Good morning, friends! Here's a happy coffee reminder to kick off your Monday:

It's downright chilly and snowy here. How about where you are? Any of you lucky ducks in Florida or Hawaii?

If you're hoping to stay warm this morning be sure to check out my Fun Page for some yummy drinks to ward off winter's chill.

I don't know if you're a music fan like me or not, but music is a HUGE part of my life. In fact, I create a story soundtrack for each of my novels. It's simply amazing how encouraging and inspiring a song can be. Recently my family and I were blessed to see Josh Wilson and Citizen Way in concert. If you ever get a chance to see either of them, I highly recommend it!

IMG_2849 IMG_2850 IMG_2856I love all their music, but one of Citizen Way's songs really inspired me that night and it was all because of the story behind it.

In this video Josh Calhoun explains that incredible story. I hope you'll take a minute to watch the video and then listen to the song.

I'd love to hear what songs you find particularly inspiring!

Here's praying you have a blessed Monday,
