Want an inside peek at Yancey, Alaska where Submerged is set? Then hop on over to A Novel Bookshelf (LifeWay’s blog) today. You can get a glimpse inside the town, and I’ve even included a recipe for Moosetrack Milkshakes (Bailey’s favorite). Mmmm!

Thanks so much for your message. I’m thrilled you enjoyed Submerged. It’s my debut novel. My second release–Shattered–will be available in February. It’s Piper McKenna’s story. Hope you’ll enjoy it just as much :)

p.s. thank you for making the town come alive with your description. I googled Sikta and will now feel more at home!

  7. Dani,

I loved Submerged! I drive just about 100 miles round trip each day to work. I’ve down loaded all four books. I can’t wait to start listening to the next book. Listening makes my drive seem much shorter. Awesome writing, thank you and God Bless.

  8. I was wondering if Yancey Alaska is a real town or just a made up town. I set my mind to moving to Alaska and Yancey sounds like it would be wonderful to live there if it’s real. I got the idea from reading your books and I can’t stop reading them. I’m on the second book now. I have the first four books, so I’m excited to finish the series.

    • Hi Caitlin,
Yancey is a fictional town. It’s a combination of Sitka and Kodiak. I’ve heard wonderful things about both. How exciting to be moving to Alaska. I wish you the very best. Thrilled you’re enjoying the Alaskan Courage series.

  9. Love the series that starts with Submerged. Have just finished the latest book and waiting on the next one, that will be centered around Reef, I think. My last name is Yancey. Live in Corinth, MS. I wish Yancey Alaska really did exist. Makes me want to hopefully visit Alaska one day. God Bless!

  10. Dani,
Just finished Submerged and Shattered. I loved them. I’m hooked on your Alaskan Courage Series. Keen them coming. I’ve already purchased Stranded and can’t wait to have it read so I can go onto the next book. Your presentation of the Gospel is wonderful and refreshing. Think of all the seeds your planting. May God bless you and your family!
